(Des Moines) The winter storm dumping heavy snow across northern and central Iowa moved out of the state.
Allan Curtis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, says snowfall amounts varied across the state.
The winter weather advisories and warnings have expired, except for the southern tier of counties in south-central and southeast Iowa, where the winter storm warning ends at 9:00 a.m.
