Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of on-air and digital advertising clients.
- Build partnerships with new and existing clients to create customized marketing and media plans.
- Write compelling advertising scripts that effectively promote clients’ products and services.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring advertising programs remain fresh, unique, and results-driven.
- Prospect and connect with potential and existing clients in person and virtually.
- Present advertising solutions tailored to clients’ specific needs and business goals.
- Assist clients with basic digital ad integration on social media and our website.
- Represent Meredith Communications at community events and business networking opportunities.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of direct sales or marketing experience, including cold calling and lead generation.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Strong Communication & Marketing Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Understanding of marketing and business principles, with a willingness to develop expertise in omni-channel marketing.
Tech & Sales Proficiency:
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital/social media platforms.
- Ability to create engaging marketing materials and presentations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple client relationships.
Additional Requirements:
- Unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to cold calling.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a fast-paced team environment.

We are looking for an effective communicator who loves southwest Iowa. Someone who likes to meet and talk to new people, and be willing to learn. Decent computer skills are a must but we can train you on much of what we do. Work hours will vary.
