(Atlantic) The 34th Annual Coca-Cola Days returns to Atlantic September 25-26 at the Cass County Community Center. The event, recognized as the second-largest Coca-Cola collectors show in the United States, will feature collectors, memorabilia, food, entertainment, and new family activities celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
This year’s theme is “An American Tradition.”
Friday’s activities include a Community Tailgate Party from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the Coca-Cola Collectors Sneak Peek from 6 to 8 p.m. Both are open to the public.
The Coca-Cola Show, Swap & Sell will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two raffles will also be offered, featuring a Coca-Cola quilt and Coca-Cola merchandise. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, with winners announced at 2 p.m. Winners do not need to be present.
New this year is an Apple Pie Baking Contest with youth, adult, and commercial divisions. Judging begins at 10 a.m., with winners announced at 11 a.m.
A Baseball/Softball Throwing Contest begins at 11:30 a.m., with divisions for grade school, middle school, high school, and adults. The contest is free, with day-of registration available.
Saturday also includes bounce houses, face painting, photos with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, food trucks, free root beer floats from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and live music by Dirt Road Divide.
Organizers say some activities could be moved indoors or have their schedules or locations changed because of rain. Updates will be posted on the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
