(Atlantic) Atlantic senior Colton Rasmussen is taking his basketball skills to Simpson College. The single-game scoring record holder announced X this week. Colton finished his career with 1,332 points and the single-game scoring record of 50 points this past season. Rasmussen is an all-around athlete who also starred as a receiver in football and a medalist at the State Track and Field Meet, garnering post-season honor in all three sports.
Rasmussen stated on X: “I want to thank all my coaches and teammates for these last four years at Atlantic High School. I would also like to thank Coach Jones for allowing me to play for him and continue my education and basketball career at Simpson College.
Colton’s sister Haley is a crucial member of the Simpson women’s basketball team. This past season, Haley was selected to the American Rivers All-Conference First Team.
