(Neola, IA) — It has been 11 seasons since Tri Center has been at the .500 level but the Trojans made some progress this season. In the tough Western Iowa Conference, Tri Center only won three games but went 10-18 overall which is a three win improvement. They had no seniors so Head Coach Chad Thomas will have everybody back. Junior Caitlin Greiner got the majority of the work in the circle and had a 3.67 ERA with 153 strikeouts in 123 innings pitched and Thomas felt like she gained a lot of confidence
Greiner also hit .323, 1 HR, 16 RBI and is one of three juniors that will be seniors next year — the others are Kendall Attanasio (.250, 16 RBI) and Joanna Cook who missed part of the season with an injury
Tri Center had a big sophomore class with Aubree Goodwin, Reese Dittmer who was injured part of the season as well, Jillian Budge was the leading hitter at .403 and Brinley Jensen. There is also Freshman Kari Plambeck at Catcher and 8th grader Adalyn Atanasu who hit .372. Thomas feels like this team is poised to take off next year
Thomas says to compete with the teams like Logan Magnolia and Missouri Valley and others they will need to hit top tier pitching.
