(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a brief special meeting this morning and approved the appointment of Nicole Wills as Cass County Jailer, effective August 3, at a rate of $27.90 per hour.
The board also received an update from Auditor Kathy Somers on the status of tax statements. Somers said the statements will be coming out a little later again this year.
Somers said the county is currently waiting for software to be updated before moving forward, which will delay the tax statements. She said once the software update is released, there is still a process to go through to prepare the statements. Somers is hoping the statements can be sent out in August.
