(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ golf team heads into postseason play with a lot of momentum. The Trojans wrapped up the regular season unblemished in dual play and won their third consecutive Hawkeye Ten Conference Tournament Title.
The Trojans host a Class 3A Regional Tournament on Wednesday. The top two teams advance to the State Golf Tournament. Additionally, any individual landing in the top six receives a ticket to the state golf meet.
Gilbert leads the field with a 325, 18-hole average, Nevada, 382, Atlantic, 404, and Sergeant Bluff-Luton, 413.
The lineup for Gilbert ranks in the top 25 in Class 3A for 18-hole averages. Eden Lohrbach, 76.20, Ava Lohrbach, 82.20, Ella Lohrback, 83.20, Macy Underwood, 88.53, Josie Dukes, 91.37, and Haley Loona, 91.53
Bishop-Heelan, Carroll, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Glenwood, Greene County, Harlan, and Perry round out the competing teams.
The Tournament begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Nishna Hills Golf Course in Atlantic.
