(Red Oak) On Monday, at 5:52 p.m., the Red Oak Fire Department responded to 1805 N. 8th Street, Apartment 26A for a report of fire coming from a stove.
The Montgomery County Communications Center advised the occupant of the apartment unit was not evacuating and attempting to suppress the fire.
Chief Bruce says the fire was contained to the stove, with no extension to the remaining portion of the apartment unit. He says the damage was isolated to the stove.
Chief Bruce reports no injuries. The maintenance personnel at Acorn Acres apartments handled the situation, and firefighters left the scene at 6:13 p.m.
The following responding agencies assisted at the scene; Red Oak Fire and Rescue, Red Oak Police Department, Montgomery County Communications Center, and the Acorn Acres Maintenance personnel.
