(Atlantic) An Atlantic man charged with attempted murder and willful injury causing serious injury pleaded not guilty in Cass County District. Richard J. Doss Jr., 34, is in custody in connection with a stabbing on December 5.

Authorities arrested Doss after the Cass County Memorial Hospital notified the Atlantic Police Department of a male stabbing victim arriving at the emergency room on Sunday, December 5.
Officer’s arrested Doss Jr. the following day. According to Police, the incident occurred at unit 26B of the Walnut Hills Terrace Apartments. Air ambulance transported the victim to UNMC in Omaha.
Doss demanded a speedy trial, which new set for February 22.
