(Council Bluffs) McKenna Sonntag parred three holes and medaled to help lead Atlantic past Shenandoah, Red Oak, and Lewis Central at Fox Run Golf Course in Council Bluffs on Thursday.
The Trojans shot 189, Shenandoah and Red Oak 203, and Lewis Central finished with a team total of 217.
Sonntag Medaled with a 45, and McKenna Knaus of Red Oak was runner-up with a 46.
Other Atlantic scores: Abby Smith 47, Belle Berg 48, Abby Muller 49, Makenna Schroeder 50, Lexi Noelck 51.
Atlantic Head Coach Kathy Hobson says she was pleased with the team score, with four players in the 40s. “Lexi Noelck had some fantastic drives, and Abby Muller was striking the ball well with her seven iron.”
Highlights for Atlantic: Abby Smith chipped one in and had one par. McKenna Sonntag had three pars and was a first-time medalist. Makenna Schroeder and Abby Muller each had one par.
