(Omaha/Valley) The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for eight counties in extreme western Iowa from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. today. The counties included are Crawford, Monona, Harrison, Pottawattamie, Mills, Fremont, Montgomery, and Page.
The heat index is forecast to reach 105 to 110 degrees, with overnight values in the mid to upper 70s offering little relief.
