(Logan) Logan-Magnolia defended its home mat with a narrow victory over Atlantic/CAM and wins over OABCIG and Woodbine on Tuesday night.
The two powerhouses squared off in the second match. Jarrett Armstrong, (182), got the Trojans off to a good start with a fall over Jordan Kerger in 2:30. The Panthers cut the lead in half following Dylan Oviatt’s 4-2 decision over Brenden Casey at (195). Miles Mundorf won by decision over Caleb Hiatt at (220), to put the Trojans on top 9-3, however that lead quickly wilted away on Rex Johnson:43 fall at (285) tying the match at nine.
The Trojans’ two fly-weights came through with nine straight points. Aiden Smith, (106), won by fall, and Josh Hass, (113), won by decision. Corbin Reisz sandwiched in a TF for five points, and Atlantic/CAM’s Ethan Follman, (126), and Tanner O’Brien, (132), posted back-to-back pins that gave the Trojans a 30-14 lead.
But the Panthers finished strong winning four straight matches, with three falls and one Technical Fall to grab a 37-30 lead. Kadin Stutzman, (170), picked up a forfeit for Atlantic/CAM to end the match at 37-36.
Other Scores: Logan-Magnolia defeated OABCIG 78-9, and Woodbine 78-3. Atlantic/CAM topped OABCIG 72-10 and shut out Woodbine, 84-0. OABCIG downed Woodbine, 53-6.
