Updated: Pickup Strikes Atlantic Motel

(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department is investigating an accident involving a pickup truck smashing into the southside of the A-Ford-O Motel on west 7th street in Atlantic.

Atlantic Police Lt. Paul Wood tells KSOM/KS95 News the accident happened at around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday at Highway 6 and Palm Street. An eastbound F250 pickup on Highway 6, driven by 24-year old Austin Boggs of Lewis, lost control of the pickup, turned sideways, and slid into the A-Ford-O Motel. Lt. Wood says no one suffered injuries, and the rooms were unoccupied when the accident occurred.
