(Underwood, IA) — Underwood’s football team had to make adjustments to a new QB this season and the results have been extremely positive. The Eagles are 5-1 under Sophomore Nash Mitchell who has thrown for 1,303 yards, 15 TD and only 3 INT. Head Coach Nate Mechaelsen says they have not changed much of the offense for Mitchell but they have given him more and more each and every week
Mechaelsen knew that he would be a good player, he thought Mitchell could be a difference maker and he knew he work hard to get better. He also knew it would not be easy
Underwood has other players around him like Seniors Charlie Myers, Kyle Sub and Tayden Hull so Mechaelsen did not expect Mitchell to come out and be the primary leader right away
Underwood will visit 3-3 Shenandoah this Friday.
