(Lewis) Cass County Conservation is getting ready for its 9th Biennial Lighted Halloween Campground at Cold Springs Park near Lewis.
The family-friendly, non-scary event will be held Saturday, October 24th, from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors can drive through the campground and enjoy Halloween-themed displays. The event is free, and prizes will be awarded for the top three voted sites, along with several special categories.
Groups interested in decorating a campsite can sign up by October 16th. Decorating can begin at noon on October 24th. Groups that participate can also receive free camping Saturday night, although camping is not required.
The weekend will kick off with a Movie in the Park on Friday, October 23rd, at 8 p.m. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” will be shown inside the Cold Springs Campground.
