He is survived by his wife, Tracey Cole of Defiance, IA; children, Gary (Allison) Aikman of Omaha, NE, Rebecca (Kaden) McLaws of Sevierville, TN, Tyler Cole of Defiance, IA, Jessica (Andrew) Kishiyama of Shelton, WA, Matthew Cole (Abby Leggett) of Council Bluffs, IA, Tracy (Machella) Cole of Kellogg, IA; Grandchildren: Lily Aikman, Ryker & Kamden McLaws,Aurora Kishiyama, Aubrey & Hudson Cole, Colton Cole, Wesley & Waylon Legett, and many “adopted” grandchildren; siblings; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for 68 year old Vernon Cole of Defiance will be held Thursday, July 30^th at 11 AM at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery near Van Meter. The Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
