Mildred “Mick” Elizabeth Goeser, daughter of Joseph Theodore and Olga Ann (Zimmerman) Goeser, was born on August 10, 1933, in Panama, Iowa. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Church in Panama and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia, where she remained a life-long member. She attended St. Boniface School in Westphalia.
After school, Mick stayed home and helped around the house. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She made fantastic peanut butter cookies and applesauce cake. Her handiwork made beautiful embroideries. She loved playing bingo and going fishing with her parents. Mick was a huge sports fan enjoying the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, and Nebraska Cornhuskers. She loved putting puzzles together and flowers of all kinds. She also made the best memories traveling with her sisters and their husbands.
Mick passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa, attaining the age of ninety-two years, nine months, and twenty-six days. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Norbert Goeser, brothers-in-law, Jerry Beverlin, Ambrose Gubbels, Glen Saffer, Steve Talcott, and John McGargill; sister-in-law, Margaret Goeser.
She is survived by her sisters, Delores Beverlin of Leavenworth, Kansas; Rita Gubbels of Harlan, Iowa; Ruth Saffer of Lincoln, Nebraska; JoAnn Talcott of Wellsville, Kansas; Judy McGargill of Sacremento, California; Diane and her husband Ken Hall of Westphalia, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
