(Atlantic) Atlantic Shortstop Sawyer Tarrell continues to shine at the plate for the Trojans. Last week, the senior had three hits in five at-bats and two RBI in a doubleheader against Harlan. The following night, he went 1-4 against Creston and polished off the week against AHSTW with a double, 2 RBI, and four steals. For his performance, Tarrell is this week’s KS95.7 Armour Insurance Trojan Athlete of the Week.
The Trojans finished the week with a split with Harlan in a doubleheader, fell short to Creston on Tuesday, and topped AHSTW 15-1 on Wednesday.
Tarrell finished the 2025 campaign with a .288 batting average. So far this season, Tarrell is hitting .320.
The Trojans host Lewis Central in a doubleheader at Atlantic this evening. The first game starts at 5:00 p.m.
