(Atlantic) Golfers battled through less-than-ideal weather conditions at a Class 3A District Meet at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on Monday. Atlantic Sophomore Hudson McLaren shot a one-over-par 70, earning a spot in the State Meet.
ADM came in with a solid score of 296, led by Finn Garton and Carter Madison, with 73s. Lincoln Barnwart fired a 74, and Easton Korell carded a 76. Grant Jensen and Grant Hickey each shot 80. Knoxville finished second with a 306, knocking off Atlantic by one stroke.
Evan Smith led Knoxville with a 71, Brady Roozeboom, 74, Carson Uitermarkt, 78, Noah Keefer shot 83, Urban Ziller, Knoxville, 84, and Luke Roozeboom shot an 86.
For Atlantic, besides McLaren’s 70, Tristan Hayes carded a 77, Sam Brosam, 79, Brady Wood 81, Gage Gross 82, and Roth Den Beste shot an 89.
