The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has announced the 2026 All State Softball teams. In Class 3A, Atlantic had two players honored — Senior Lila Wiederstein was named First Team All State and Senior Zoey Kirchhoff was selected Third Team All State. Wiederstein hit .488 for the Trojans including 8 HR, 49 RBI, 8 doubles, 5 triples, scored 57 runs, stole 25 bases and had a slugging percentage of .824. Kirchhoff batted .382 with 3 HR, 34 RBI, 17 doubles, 1 triple and scored 32 runs. Also in 3A, Junior Charlotte Schwabe of Kuemper Catholic was named First Team All State — with the Knights, she hit .551 with 8 HR and 64 RBI.
In Class 2A, Logan Magnolia had two players selected First Team All-State — Senior Campbell Chase and Junior Gracyn Stone. Chase was the pitcher for the Panthers and had 220 strikeouts in 150 innings with a 1.77 ERA and at the plate she hit .397, 1 HR, 27 RBI. Stone batted .462, 8 HR, 35 RBI.
Riverside had three players honored in Class 2A– Senior Adaline Martens and Sophomore Peyton Schafer was named Second Team All State and Junior Sophia Fenner was Third Team. Martens hit .484, 3 HR, 36 RBI, had 14 doubles and scored 47 runs. Schafer hit .337, 4 HR, 41 RBI and in the circle had a 2.33 ERA with 145 strikeouts. Fenner did not commit an error at catcher and hit .474, 1 HR, 27 RBI.
Nodaway Valley’s Emma Boswell was named 2A Third Team All State — the Senior hit .500 with 8 HR, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, 3 triples and scored 41 runs.
In Class 1A, Taryn Petersen of Exira EHK Audubon was selected First Team All State. The Junior hit .529, 5 HR, 23 RBI, stole 51 bases, and scored 62 runs. Also for the Spartans, Junior Riley Miller was selected 2nd Team All State — hitting .450 with 2 HR, 40 RBI and had a 2.05 ERA with 214 strikeouts in the circle. Senior Anna Larsen and Sophomore Bryli Petersen were selected Honorable Mention.
Fremont Mills had three players honored — Junior Lana Alley was a First Team All State selection — batting .506 with 18 RBI, 41 runs and stole 58 bases without getting caught. Senior Reese Gute was Third Team All State, batting .477 with 21 RBI, 36 runs and 40 stolen bases. Senior Kinley Blackburn was named Honorable Mention.
Griswold CAM had two players honored. Junior Courtney Follmann was named Second Team All State — hitting .407 with 7 HR, 29 RBI and 35 runs. Sophomore Pitcher Ailey Wahlert was named Honorable Mention.
Other Honorable Mention selections in 1A included Kayli Shade, Senior, East Union; Anna Stangl, Senior, IKM Manning; Ella Narmi, Senior, St. Albert; and Brooklyn Valles, 8th, Woodbine.
In Class 4A, Aubree Davis, Senior, from Lewis Central was a First Team All State selection. Also from the Titans, Junior Madison Johnette was named Second Team All State. Creston Senior Avery Staver was named Third Team All State.
