(Tabor, IA) — Fremont Mills hosted a co-ed track meet on Monday and the Knights won the girls meet with 161 points well ahead of Shenandoah in 2nd in 72. Southwest Valley edged out the home team in the boys meet 146 to 133.
On the girls side, Fremont Mills won the Sprint Medley, Shuttle Hurdle, 4×100, and 4×400 relays. Madelynn Schaff won the 3000 with a season PR and also won the 1500. Hayleigh Mattox won the Shot Put and was 2nd in the Discus.
For Griswold: Carsyn Adams 1st in 100 Hurdles (15.99, season PR), 1st in 400 Hurdles (1:09.57); Ella Gade 1st in Discus (113-03)
In the boys meet, Southwest Valley won the Sprint Medley, Shuttle Hurdle, and 4×800 relays. Brody Crozier won the Long Jump and was 2nd in the 100 and 200. Wyatt Mendenhall won the 400 Hurdles and was 2nd in the 110 Hurdles. Caleb Owen won the Shot Put and was 2nd in the Discus. Walker Bissell won the High Jump.
Fremont Mills won the Distance Medley and set a season PR and also won the 4×100. JW Linkenhoker won the 110 Hurdles; Geovanni Lopez won the 800; and Broden Zimmerman won the Discus.
The boys 100 meter dash was a very close race with Gabe Buttry winning by a tenth of a second over Brody Crozier of Southwest Valley 11.07 to 11.08
