(Stuart) The Stuart Police Department has filed charges against a Greenfield man, Jesse Eugene McCann, for Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee, a Class D Felony, following an investigation conducted by the Stuart Police Department.
The charges stem from allegations involving inappropriate conduct with a juvenile student that allegedly occurred approximately 10 years ago while McCann was employed by the West Central Valley Community School District.
McCann was taken into custody in Adair County at approximately 05:19 P.M. on May 7, 2026, following a warrant issued for his arrest, and was transported to the Guthrie County Jail in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
As this remains an active criminal case, no additional information will be released at this time.
Criminal charges are merely accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
