(Anita, IA) — The CAM Girls Track and Field team will be sending three entries to the Drake Relays this week — Ada Hansen in the 100 Hurdles on Friday and the 400 Hurdles on Saturday and the 4×100 relay which will be run Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the Cougars will host their own meet tonight at Atlantic High School. Head Coach Luke Symonds says that Hansen had a strong race last week in the 400 Hurdles to achieve the blue standard
Hansen also runs in the 4×100 with Brookelyn Steffen, Brylee Steffen in Ruthie Rich which got in the top 96 times plus Hansen made it in the 100 Hurdles despite her admittedly not at her best says Symonds and she will get tested tonight
Also to watch for the Cougars is Courtney Follmann who currently ranks 4th in Class 1A in the discus
Also Ruthie Rich is one of those athletes you probably put almost anywhere — she ranks 11th in Class 1A in the 100 Hurdles, she also runs the 100 and the 4×100 and Sprint Medley relays. She was also in the High Jump but that was not going well so Symonds says she switched to a different field event
Schools competing in tonight’s CAM Co-Ed Classic include AHSTW, Atlantic JV, Audubon, Coon Rapids Bayard, Exira EHK, Fremont Mills, Paton Churdan, Treynor Girls, Woodbine.
