(Lenox, IA) — Riverside and Southwest Valley competed at the Lenox Co Ed Meet on Monday night. The Bulldogs won the boys meet with 139 points ahead of Lenox with 94 points and Riverside did not run any of their feature relays, preferring to concentrate on individual events.
For the Bulldogs, Cole Jeppesen was 1st in 100 (11.02), and 1st in 200 (22.90) getting season PRs in both; Jaxon Gordon 1st in 110 Hurdles (14.54), 2nd in 400 Hurdles (55.76) also getting season PRs in both events; Owen Fenner 1st in 400 (52.57) and 2nd in 1600 (4:40.53, season PR); Dawson Henderson 1st in 1600 (4:38.31, season PR); Landyn Schoenrock 2nd in 3200 (12:40.27); 1st in Distance Medley (3:59.01).
Southwest Valley boys were 6th in the team standings — Caleb Owen 1st in Shot Put (48-09.75); Brody Crozier 2nd in 100 (11.11), 2nd in 400 (53.45).
Griswold got a third place finish from Quentyn Ruchti-Wilson in the 3200 (12:47.56) and Wyatt Silk was 5th in the 110 Hurdles (16.17).
Mount Ayr won the girls meet with 142 points ahead of Shenandoah with 103 and Riverside was third with 94 points.
For the Bulldogs, Bailey Richardson 1st in 1500 (5:44.18); Meadow Dalby 1st in 400 (1:05.56); Arabella Singleton 2nd in 200 (27.87); Bentley Rone 2nd in 400 Hurdles (1:15.32); Riverside was 1st in 4×800 (Dalby, Kayden Schnack, Azlyn Clark, Rone) with a time of 10:33.45.
For Southwest Valley — Ray Helvie 2nd in High Jump (4-10); Saige Jones 2nd in 800 (2:36.99); Alyssa Pearson 3rd in 400 Hurdles (1:16.65)
