(Audubon) Audubon Superintendent Trevor Miller announced on Friday in a message to parents and stakeholders that 5-12 Principal Quentin Stanerson is on “authorized leave.” Miller did not provide any information about the circumstances that led to Stanerson’s absence or its duration, citing personnel confidentiality.
During Stanerson’s absence, Miller will serve as the building’s administrative leader and primary contact for questions that would normally be directed to the principal’s office. Since Miller also serves as the shared superintendent with Exira-EHK, his time will be split between districts. When Miller is unavailable, Audubon Activities Director Sean Birks will handle student disciplinary concerns and oversee building operations.
School officials have indicated that no other information will be released at this time and cautioned against speculation.
