(Guthrie Center) In January, the Adair-Casey, and Guthrie Center School Districts announced hiring Josh Rasmussen as the school’s new shared superintendent. On July 1, Rasmussen took the helm.
Mr. Rasmussen is looking forward to getting started in his new venture.
Josh Rasmussen served as the Assistant High School Principal, Dean of Students, and Athletic Director at Atlantic, and most recently held the position of Middle School Principal at Atlantic. He says his goal is to build relationships with the ACGC school board, administration, and staff and get to know the community members.
Starting with the 2016-2017 school year, the Adair-Casey and the Guthrie Center School Districts entered into a Whole Grade Sharing Agreement
Elementary students in grades Pre-school through 6 attend school at the Adair-Casey Elementary campus. The seventh and eighth-grade students from both districts attend the AC/GC Junior High at the Adair-Casey campus, and grades 9 through 12 attend the AC/GC High School at the high school campus in Guthrie Center.
Rasmussen holds a Master’s Degree in K-12 Administration from Iowa State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Buena Vista University.
