(Creston) A Creston man was arrested on drug charges in Union County.
Creston police arrested 26-year old Jacob Malcom Cauthorn, Tuesday morning at Wal-Mart on a Union County Warrant for Failure to Appear. He was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense.
Cauthorn is being held in the Union County Jail awaiting an appearance in front of a judge.
K-9 Jax was also deployed with a positive hit.
In other activity;
*Police, along with the assistance of the Creston Police K-9 arrested 18-year old Alexander Smith, of Creston on Sunday, in the 300 block of E. Clark Street for Possession of Paraphernalia. He was released from Union County Jail on a $300.00 bond.
*Police arrested 39-year old Jennifer Beard of Creston on a Union County Warrant for Violation of a Protection Order. She was released from the Union County Jail on a $300.00 bond.
*Police arrested 62-year old William Powell, of Creston on Friday, for Public Intoxication. He was released on a $300.00 bond.
Creston Police are also investigating two reports of theft.
*Heather Anne McNichols, of Creston reported items worth $1,100.00 were taken from her storage unit at 515 Livingston Avenue. The missing items include; household, furniture, clothing, and kitchen items.
*Elizabeth Green reported a trailer worth $1,500 was stolen from New York Avenue within the past week. The loss is estimated at $1,500.00.
