(Shenandoah, IA) — In a Class 2A Boys District tournament, Clarinda, MMCRU and the hometown Mustangs advanced to the state tournament. The team scores were close with Clarinda in first with a 306; MMCRU 2nd with a 310; and Shenandoah 3rd with a 311 — one stroke ahead of South Hamilton with a 312; two ahead of Grand View Christian with a 313 and 7 ahead of Riverside in 7th place.
Ty Rardin of Nodaway Valley missed going into a playoff by one stroke. The top individual golfers were Charlie Nattress of South Central Calhoun with a 71 and Henry Lane of Grand View Christian with a 73. Rardin shot a 74 and finished in 6th place overall.
James McCready had the low round for Riverside with a 77 and was in 12th place. Grant Richardson had an 80 (27th); Peyton Amdor 81 (32nd); Bennett Hough 86 (46th); and Austin Zimmerman shot a 92.
Weston Crouse of Red Oak had a 76 and finished in 9th place.
Jac Fine had the low round for the winning Cardinals with a 70 and was the runner up to Shenandoah’s JJ Martin with a 67.
