(Atlantic) The Atlantic Community School Board approved multiple personnel changes, including several resignations and new hires. It endorsed key action items, including agreements on construction management and the joint provision of special education services. Director of Finance Lisa Jones provided the board with a positive financial report.
Jones stated the district received a large amount of revenue following the second payment of property taxes, with two months left in this year’s fiscal year budget. Jones says the district is in a financially stable position, having spent about 72 percent of the budget, with just two months remaining in this fiscal year’s budget.
Jones noted the growing nutrition fund.
During the Superintendent’s report, Dr. Beth Johnsen congratulated Food Service Director Natalie Ritter.
The Atlantic School Board also approved the resignations listed below and recommended the following associated contracts.

Under the action items, the board approved the following:
*Agreement between the Atlantic Community School District and the DCI Construction Manager.
*Geotech agreement to drill sample soil borings.
*26-27 28E joint sharing agreement with Harlan School District to employ Special Education Administrative Associates for all the named school districts, being Harlan, IKM-Manning, AHSTW, Nodaway, Boyer Valley, Atlantic, Tri-Center, Glenwood, Lewis Central, and Riverside.
*Amendment to Behavioral Master Services Agreement Between Atlantic Community School District, Hazel Health Inc, and Telehealth Services USA
*March 2027 Band Trip to Florida
