(Fort Dodge, IA) — In a Class 1A Boys Golf District meet, Coon Rapids Bayard earned a berth to the state tournament with a district win — the Crusaders won a tiebreaker with Gladbrook Reinbeck each team shooting a 315. Earlham was only one stroke back with a 316 and also advanced to state.
Low round for CRB was Jace Baker with a 77 and 8th place. Gavin Heiderscheit was 13th with a 79; Logan Kenyon 18th with a 80; Bennett Heiderscheit 22nd with an 81; Max Shirbroun 40th with an 85.
Earlham had the top two golfers on the day with Will Harris winning with a 74, earning the tiebreaker over Blaine Vanderheidern also with a 74.
Blake Irvine of Don Bosco shot a 74 and Lane Rose of AGWSR shot a 75 to earn the individual honors to state.
For CAM: Kason Calhoun was 26th (83); Braxton Dennis 44th (86); Kamden Wahlert 45th (87); Madden Cary 53rd (89); Kayden Winther 57th (90); Erik Almelian 74th (102).
Austin Rasmussen of Exira EHK was 21st with an 81.
Sayer Bireline-Huss of AC/GC was 36th with an 85.
