(Guthrie Center, IA) — AC/GC girls and boys track and field competed yesterday at the Greene County Co-Ed meet — the only win for the Chargers was the boys shuttle hurdle relay with Collin Stringham, Mourgun Nolte, Tommy Skram and Brexton Schneider with a time of 1:03.90. It is not their fastest time but the defending state champs currently rank 5th in Class 1A at 1:02.88. Head Coach Jacob Lacey says even though their time did not go down last night, they are showing signs of improvement
Lacey says he needs some of his sprinters to get healthy especially Luke Brincks who is making slow progress towards coming back
On the girls side, Cadance Petersen finished third in both the 400 Hurdles where she ranks 16th in Class 1A and the High Jump. Lacey is hoping to work on his 4×400 team but has not decided on a final four team yet
The Chargers will go to the Wildcat Invitational on Thursday hosted by West Central Valley.
