(Glenwood) The Glenwood Wrestling team is heading into break with a 7-0 dual record. The Rams ended the pre-holiday schedule on a positive note by winning their own tournament on December 20.
Head Coach Tucker Weber admits the team is off to a tremendous start with an undefeated dual record and its first win at the Glenwood Invitational Tournament.
The Rams have several wrestlers who have had great starts to the season. Ace Cochrane (106) is 17-1 and coming off an individual title last weekend at Glenwood.
Two-time state qualifier Brody Black at 126 also claimed gold last weekend.
Another freshman, Joe Leick, is undefeated at 132.
The Rams are solid in the upper weights with Nile Lundvall at (175), who is 17-5, defending state champion Mason Koehler at (20-0) at 215, and Drake Buthe at (285), who is 20-1. Coach Weber says the team has some big goals.
The Rams start the post-holiday season at home on January 8 against Lewis Central, Red Oak, and Shenandoah, and compete at the Rollin Dyer Tournament at Atlantic on January 10.
