(West Des Moines, IA) – With the softball season kicking off today, the IGHSAU has released its preseason rankings for the 2024 softball season. These rankings are compiled by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The local teams in Class 1A feature Martensdale-St Marys in first, Earlham in seventh, and Griswold comes in at 13th. For Class 2A teams, Van Meter ranks in first, Missouri Valley comes in fourth, and Interstate-35 ranks in seventh. In Class 3A, Clarinda sits in the top ten at ninth and Atlantic comes in right behind sitting in tenth. Jumping over to Class 4A, North Polk sits in first, Winterset ranks at fifth, Carlisle has been put at seventh, and ADM finishes us off in tenth.
