(Council Bluffs) Residents planning to attend the City of Council Bluffs’ annual Summerfest celebration at Tom Hanafan Park on June 5 are being reminded to park only in designated lots and avoid residential neighborhoods near the event.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says it is required that attendees park at one of three locations: Harrah’s Casino North Lot, Lot D near the CHI Center in Omaha, or the parking garage on site. If using the parking garage be prepared to wait in traffic for an extended period of time.
Parking in the residential area adjacent to the park is highly discouraged. Illegally parked vehicles or vehicles creating traffic hazards will be towed at owner’s expense.
