(Atlantic) Healthy Cass County is inviting community members, businesses, organizations, faith groups and service providers to a community meeting on Monday, June 8, at noon at the Cass County Community Center in Atlantic.
The discussion will focus on “How Do We Redefine Senior Centers in Rural Iowa?” and how Cass County can work with community partners to expand and promote programs for older adults.
Grace McAfee, Community Wellness Coordinator, said Healthy Cass County recognizes that meaningful social connections are essential to healthy aging and community well-being. Supporting older adults goes beyond a single building and includes strengthening the many spaces throughout Cass County where seniors already gather, learn, volunteer, exercise, share meals, and build relationships.
Meeting participants will be encouraged to share experiences, identify strengths and service gaps, and explore ways to improve opportunities for seniors across the county. Anyone interested in senior services, healthy aging or community engagement is welcome to attend.
