(Shelby County) One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Shelby County.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Sunday at around 2:52 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 59 and County Road F32. Authorities say the accident claimed the life of 63-year-old Francis Rueschenberg of Westphalia.
According to the report, a 2017 Chevy Equinox driven by 38-year-old Miranda Von Ahsen of Westphalia was traveling northbound on Highway 59, preparing to turn west onto County Road F32, and a 1975 Norton motorcycle driven by Rueschenberg traveling southbound on Highway 59 collided at the intersection.
Harlan EMS transported Reuschenberg to Myrtue Memorial Hospital. Reuschenberg died as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash. Von Ahsen was not hurt.
