(Woodbine, IA) – At the Rolling Valley Conference Championship on a beautiful Monday evening, the CAM Cougars were able to take second place overall with 126.5 total team points while Woodbine finished in first with 190 points. The Cougars were featured first in a multitude of events on Monday evening with some top finishes on the season.

Looking at those finishes, let’s start with the individual finishes for CAM. Finishing in first place was Ada Hansen in the 800-meter run, she finished with a time of 2:26.76, over nine seconds faster than second-place finisher Hailey Cue from Boyer Valley. Hansen earned another top spot when it came down to the 400-meter hurdles as she earned first by just .22 seconds at 1:07.61 while Boyer Valley’s Lauren Malone earned second. CAM’s Bailey Lillard was able to capture first-place in the 100-meter hurdles at 17.56 while Ruthie Rich jumped into the second-place spot at 17.79.
The other top results for CAM included Mia South finishing third in the 3,000-meter run at 14:50.51 while Alison South earned third in the 400-meter dash at 1:08.18. Mia South also earned seventh in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:32.29. In the 100-meter dash, both Kylee Williamson and Emma Follmann came in fourth and fifth at 14.46 and 14.54 respectively. Jaci Eden was able to earn sixth in the 400-meter dash at 1:11.72.
In the field events, starting with the long jump, Lily Morford earned sixth at 6’2″. Moving to the high jump, Raelyn Lund earned sixth at 4’4″. In the shot put, Courtney Follmann earned fifth at 29’3″ while teammate Macy Burg finished eighth at 26’10”. One of the top finishes in the field events for CAM came from Courtney Follman who finished in second at 107’7″ while Lilly Barber threw 98’4″.
Jumping over to the relay events, CAM earned first place in the 4×100-meter relay at 55.31. The Cougars also featured multiple second-place finishes, including in the 4×100-meter shuttle hurdle relay at 1:13.35, second in the 4×200-meter relay at 2:00.57, second in the 800-meter medley relay at 2:02.41, and second in the 4×400-meter relay at 5:01.24. CAM lastly finished third in the 4×800-meter relay at 12:22.32.
The Cougars will return to action on Thursday at Southwest Valley’s co-ed meet.
