Douglas Rice, 57, of Juneau, Alaska (formerly of Fontanelle) passed away peacefully at his home in West Des Moines, Iowa, with his children at his side.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle with burial in the Fontanelle Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Hotel Greenfield following the burial. The Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the professional arrangements. He will be dearly missed by his children, Levi (Taylor and grandson Wesley) of Waukee, Iowa, Dylan (Sydney) of Eagle River, Alaska and Emma (Ashton and grandson Jaxson) of Juneau, Alaska; father, Jimmy Dean (Louise) of Soldotna, Alaska; mother, Mary Lea of Waukee, Iowa; brother, Daryl (Nathalie) of Sitka, Alaska; sisters, Darcy (Keith) of Urbandale, Iowa, Dottie of Omaha, Nebraska, and Daisy of Lewis, Iowa; nephews, Dean, Austin, Travis and Ethan; nieces, MacKenzie, Madison, Kayla and Jenna; other relatives and friends.
