(Boone) On Wednesday morning KSOM/KS95.7 Sports and other media outlets across the state posted football schedules for the upcoming high school season. The information was available through a link on the Iowa High School Athletic Association website.
However, the IHSAA has since advised that the posted schedules were a draft and were not supposed to be made public yet. Official schedules will be released next week. The following is an e-mail from IHSAA Executive Director Tom Keating.

Re: 2020 Football Schedules
As you know, IHSAA planned to release our 2020 football schedules the week of March 23.
We have become aware that someone outside IHSAA has gained access to the “administrative side” of our website and accessed the working draft of our 2020 football schedules. Some AD’s are reporting that they have received their schedules from this person.
Please be aware that if you receive any copy of 2020 football schedules that does not come from an official IHSAA e-mail account, those schedules are not official. What you have (or will have) received is a draft that has neither been completed nor proofed. Any release of that schedule or planning based on that schedule would be premature and quite possibly in error.
We are working with our web security contacts to determine how the breach occurred and to secure the information.
As planned, you will receive the official 2020 football schedules next week.
We deeply apologize for this breach and the confusion it has caused.
Sincerely,
Tom
