(State) Eighteen players from area conferences were honored as All-State selections in girls basketball by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
The list included immediate coverage area standouts Haley Rasmussen (Atlantic), Macy Emgarten (Exira-EHK), Kinsey Scheffler (AHSTW), and Kailey Jones (AHSTW). Glenwood led Southwest Iowa schools with the most honorees as three Rams received recognition. Two players from the area received first team all state honors with Allie Petrey (St. Albert) receiving first team status in 1A and Megan Witte (Lewis Central) getting a first team nod in 4A.
