(Des Moines) Class 1A and 2A Boys Basketball teams punched their tickets to state Saturday night. Following a conference call with coaches on Monday morning the seeding has been finalized.
Pride of Iowa Conference representative Martensdale-St. Marys is the #5 seed in 1A. The 10th ranked Blue Devils are making their first ever boys state basketball tournament appearance and will play 7th ranked Montezuma at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9th.
Treynor is the #2 seed in the Class 2A field. The top rated Cardinals oppose 13-10 Pella Christian in round one next Monday at 6:30 p.m. Woodward Granger, at 22-2, is the #8 seed and meets 8th ranked Boyden-Hull in the first round at 8:15 p.m. Monday, March 9th.
