(Des Moines, IA) — A woman accused of shooting and injuring another woman in the Merle Hay neighborhood Thursday afternoon has been arrested. Des Moines Police say the victim was shot around 4:30 p.m. on Urbandale Avenue. The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Keona Campbell. Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parezik said, even though Campbell fled the scene, they were able to quickly find her and the firearm used in the shooting.
Campbell faces charges of attempted murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
