(Stuart, IA) — West Central Valley hosted a Cross Country meet on Thursday and Nodaway Valley dominated the boys meet with a 29 point win over Creston. The Wolverines had 27 points; Panthers had 56 points; Greene County was third with 59 followed by Saydel (111), Des Moines Hoover (122) and West Central Valley (161).
Gabe Winkelmann finished in 2nd place for Nodaway Valley (18:31.40) with Paul Kading in 3rd place (18:42.00). Luke Kading was 5th (18;58.60), Josh Nelson 7th (19:35.00) and Jack Berg finished 10th (19:55.20).
Ryder Baird of Creston was the winner at 17:55.10.
Landon McKnight of CAM finished in 22nd place (21:38.40). Dustin McCurdy was 49th (29:24.80).
Max Egger had the best finish for West Central Valley in 30th (24:11.80)
On the girls side, there were just three full teams in the standings with Creston at the top with 21 points followed by Greene County with 53 and West Central Valley with 54.
The Panthers took to the top two spots with Reese Strunk in 1st (22:22.20) and Harper Wilson in 2nd (22:40.60).
Abigail Nelson of Nodaway Valley finished in 5th place (23:22.70).
Dallas Morgan of West Central Valley finished 9th (25:02.80) and Jackie McIntyre was 10th (25:17.10)
