(Neola, IA) — Tri Center lost their first football game of the season 30-26 to St. Albert. Freshman Wade Beck scored the go ahead 2 yard TD run with just over two minutes left in the game. Senior QB AJ Harder threw for 130 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT and ran for 80 yards. He says that in the past the strength of the offense was throwing the football but now its the other way around
Harder says there are a lot of new faces that starting for Tri Center this year and there is a new head coach — Jake Gentile — and Harder says there has been an adjustment but he has tried to make the adjustment as easy as possible
One familiar face is Jayden Johnson who plays both ways. The Senior Tight End and Defensive End says the St. Albert game was a roller coaster ride and they need to do the little things better
Johnson loves playing football and prefers the defensive side
Tri Center will try to get on the winning track this Friday hosting #9 OABCIG; its Homecoming this week for the Trojans and we will have Tri Center Homecoming Court interviews this Friday throughout the day on KSOM.
