(Council Bluffs, IA) — Woodbine finished in 2nd place in the Class 1A District golf meet in Council Bluffs on Wednesday — the event was postponed until now because of Monday’s storms.
The Tigers finished with a team score of 324, 13 strokes behind district champ Boyden Hull with a 311. Woodbury Central was 3rd with a 333 and tied St. Albert but the Wildcats won the tiebreaker — their 5th golfer Logan Phipps shot an 87 beating the Falcons 5th golfer Ryan McCulloch with a 99.
Keith Thompson of Hamburg won the individual competition, shooting a (+3) 74. Ben Krohn of St. Albert also qualified for state with a 77.
Kaden Jorgensen of AHSTW was 21st with an 85; Drew Lee of the Vikings was 28th with an 88.
Cale Soma of Boyer Valley was 7th with a 79.
Jake Brandt had the low round for Southwest Valley with a 91.
Adrian Schlapia of Lenox shot an 87 and was 26th.
Anders Langille had the low round for Fremont Mills with a 96.
