(Washington, D.C.) Representative Zach Nunn, of Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, is optimistic the Senate will approve year-round nationwide sales of E15 fuel.
Last week, the U.S. House passed the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, legislation that would allow year-round sales of E15 fuel nationwide.
Nunn said when supporters first began fighting for the measure, they faced significant pushback from lobbying groups and even some Republican leadership.
Nunn also noted that President Donald Trump came to Iowa and said he wanted legislation allowing year-round E15 sales. Vice President JD Vance echoed that message during a visit to Iowa earlier this month.
Nunn said there is momentum at the White House, along with overwhelming bipartisan support in the House, and he hopes the Senate will move the bill forward and get it passed for Americans.
