(Ames, IA) — Iowa St. women’s basketball has added another player in the transfer portal as Juco scorer Reggi Spotts has announced on social media she is joining the Cyclones from North Iowa Community College in Mason City.
Spotts is a 5’8″ guard who was a first team All-American in NJCAA Division II this past season, averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. She was 77 of 220 from three point land which is a solid 35 percent and led the Trojans to a 28-4 record and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the national tournament. Spotts is from Nora Springs, IA which is a few miles east of Mason City. She has two years of eligibility remaining although lately Junior College players have been granted extra eligibility.
Spotts is the 6th player to join Iowa St. via the portal with Mya Babbit (Kent St.); Alex Anne Bessette (Loyola Chicago); Gift Ezekiel (Florida); Ashleigh Connor (LaSalle) and Sienna Harvey (Washington). With three holdovers and one freshman recruit, the Cyclones roster sits at 10 players.
