(Riverside School) The Riverside Community School District has named Alynn Coppock as its next superintendent following a comprehensive national search conducted in partnership with Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates.
The district announced the hiring Thursday evening after completing an extensive selection process that included candidate visits on Wednesday, April 22. During those visits, finalists toured district facilities and the surrounding communities while participating in a full day of interviews.
The interview process involved four separate committees representing a broad cross-section of the district, including students, certified and support staff, parents and community members, and district leadership. Administrative staff, the School Business Official, and department heads were also part of the evaluation process.
Coppock will succeed current Superintendent Stephanie Anderson, who is leaving the district after accepting a position as the next elementary principal in the Storm Lake Community School District.
