(Wiota) Wiota and Anita firefighters responded to a report of a house struck by lightning during Thursday’s storm.
The call went out around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a house south of Wiota that had been struck by lightning. The occupants of the home extinguished the fire. Arriving firefighters found smoke inside the home and a possible fire.
