(Atlantic) – A motorcycle driver was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Atlantic. According to the Atlantic Police Department, the accident occurred around 5:28 p.m. at 13th and Plum Street.
Authorities report that the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling southbound on Plum Street, slowed down to make a westward turn into a private driveway. The motorcycle was then struck from behind by a southbound 2022 Chevy pickup truck.
The rider was transported by Cass EMS to the Cass County Memorial Hospital landing pad, where they were transferred to Life Flight for further treatment. No names have been released.
The driver of the pickup was cited by police for following too closely. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been made available. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Atlantic Police Department at 712-243-3512.
